A Pilgrims journey is not a vacation .The purpose for a pilgrimage is to travel to holy sites to look for God within them. This experience that the pilgrims undergo brings them closer to God

The Suffer Of The Inocent
In 2011, On our way to Madrid for the World Youth Day (WYD) there, we had a brief stop in Berlin, and visited a Concentration Camp, Sachsenhausen, were thousands had lost their life’s.
We experienced the horrors of what man can do when there is no God in his life.
We prayed for the millions who underwent this persecution and the millions more who are undergoing persecution today. But more importantly we were able to see the presence of God within the millions of innocents who died at this camp and many others
A Experince in Copenhagen
We Visited a Cathedral in Copenhagen where the Bishop of dioceses himself came out to express his gratitude and happiness to see 300 young people fill up the church.
Normally the Cathedral receive 20 or less people in mass a week.
The Bishop felt that God gave him a sign through us, that there is Church out there that is alive and full of love.

In The Squares
It’s so amazing to see young people singing, dancing and especially announcing God on the street of Copenhagen, to complete and total strangers about the good news that the gospel brings.
I experienced how this cities seem to not need God, as they think that they have it all. But Speaking to them and having a close experience with people my age I realized how sad it is to live without God. It’s like living without a meaning in Life.
It makes me truly happy that within the church it feels like I have a meaning for everything I do.
The Convent
We were fortunate enough to be invited to stay for a day at a convent before heading south to Madrid. This is one of the experiences of a sister of our group had:
It was incredible to see the joy and the peace of this place, how girls my age had a close encounter with God through prayers and giving their whole life to serve the lord and the world.
Their experiences and their stories touch me deeply.

Felt The Call
God is constantly giving us directions so that his will and our will can be the same and then we can be truly happy.

In the WYD in Madrid, one brother felt the calling to the priesthood and is now in the seminary of Arequipa, Peru. In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil another brother felt the calling to the priesthood and is now in Florence, Italy.
